This position is for the 2024-2025 school year, with an August start date.
 
Purpose Statement

The job of  School Psychologist was established for the purpose/s of administering and interpreting psychoeducational and/or developmental tests for students with learning, developmental, and/or emotional disabilities; providing information on child develpment issues to school personal and parents; providing recommendations for program development and student placement; providing referral information to IEP teams;  ensuring compliance with federal, state and district policies; providing recommendations for the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children; interpreting results of psychological studies; interpreting and applying state and federal codes; and developing strategies and interventions to address the special education needs of eligible students.

 

This job reports to Director of Special Education

 
Experience   Experience as a school psychologist is prefered

Education   Masters Degree/Ed.S in School Psychology

 

Equivalency    Internship in district may be considered

Continuing Educ. / Training

Maintains PTSB Cert. (5 credit hrs/ 5 year renewal period)

Coursework as appropriate to maintaining licensure

Continued Professional Growth


Certificates & Licenses

Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification with proper endorsement and/or State of Wyoming licensure as Psychologist
