This is a special education certified staff position at Southeast Elementary School in Yoder, Wyoming, for the 2025-2026 academic year. Southeast Elementary School serves students in grades K-5.  Start date is August 11, 2025.

Purpose Statement

The job of Teacher - Special Education was established for the purpose/s of developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

This job reports to the building principal.

The position is open internally through April 8, 2025.

 Experience  Job related experience is desired.

Education   Bachelor degree in Special Education

Continuing Educ./Training     Maintains PTSB certification by earning 5 credit hours per every 5 year renewal period

Certificates & Licenses    Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification with applicable Special Education endorsement(s)

Clearances    Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
